Media Voice on Emotional Regulation for High-Performing Mothers
Why Women Work With Me
The women who come to me are not looking for hype.
They are not looking for endless therapy.
They want intelligent, targeted change.
They want to feel steady in their living rooms the way they feel steady in their boardrooms.
They want their presence to calm the room, not escalate it.
And they want to stop feeling guilty for something they don’t fully understand.
I combine clinical expertise in child development and sensory regulation with advanced training in hypnosis and subconscious recalibration.
The result is structured, precision-based work that addresses reactions at their source.
Most clients notice meaningful shifts within the first few sessions, not because it’s dramatic, but because it’s direct.
A Personal Note
Like many of the women I work with, I know what it feels like to be competent and privately exhausted.
To care deeply, and still wish you had handled a moment differently.
This work isn’t about becoming softer.
It’s about becoming steadier.
And when that shift happens, everything at home changes.

I didn’t set out to specialize in overwhelmed mothers.
I began my career as a pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist, working with children and families for more than 25 years. I loved helping children find their voice, whether through speech, emotional expression, or confidence in their bodies.
Over time, I began to notice something important
Children were not just responding to what their parents said.
They were responding to what their parents felt.
Even when a mother appeared calm on the outside, a child could sense tension underneath. The nervous system always speaks first.
That observation reshaped my work.
The Question I Kept Hearing
The mothers I worked with were intelligent, capable, deeply committed women.
They led teams.
They managed complex lives.
They carried responsibility well.
And then, in certain moments at home, they would unravel.
They would say:
“I can handle pressure everywhere else, why is this so hard?”
“I don’t like how I react.”
“I never used to be this way.”
I understood that question.
Because I’ve asked it myself.
I am a mother of four grown children and navigated much of motherhood as a single parent. I know the invisible mental load. The constant vigilance. The exhaustion that doesn’t fully resolve with sleep.
I also grew up in a difficult childhood. That experience shaped my commitment to emotional safety inside families, not as theory, but as lived conviction.
What I began to see was this:
The issue was rarely a lack of love.
It was cumulative stress.
From Behaviour to Capacity
When stress builds for too long, the nervous system narrows.
Reactions speed up.
Tolerance shortens.
The space between intention and behaviour shrinks.
You cannot think your way out of that.
You have to regulate your way through it.
That realisation led me to expand my training into hypnosis, subconscious pattern change, and trauma-informed nervous system work. I wanted tools that worked at the level where reactions actually begin, in the body.
