Never Fear, Teletherapy Is Here

Teletherapy has been around for years, but recently it has become an ideal solution for the treatment of anxiety sufferers during the COVID-19 pandemic. Teletherapy or e-therapy (therapy via phone or online) can be a more effective way to treat clients than using face-to-face hypnotherapy and Brain Working Recursive Therapy (BWRT) in an office setting. Being in your home while speaking with a therapist removes social anxiety barriers, lets you practice safe distancing, and addresses issues of housebound or agoraphobic clients.

Be Relaxed in Your Own Space

Teletherapy allows for space between the client and therapist and can possibly produce better outcomes than traditional in-person therapy services because:

  • It’s easier for you to get comfortable, calm, and relaxed in your own environment.
  • It’s easier to make changes to your hardwired, unwanted responses when you’re in the environment where the changes need to happen, making the therapist’s suggestions more impactful.
  • You don’t have to go anywhere. Just download the Zoom app or use Facetime on an electronic device to get started: no cost for gas, no travel time, and no waiting in a lobby or office to see the therapist.

Take a Break, Reset, and Recharge

If you are like me, you may feel like you are being bombarded by news and social media information and daily stresses. You NEED a break to reset and recharge. It’s hard right now to maintain a positive attitude with so many constant stressors being thrown at us. If you feel “stuck” at home due to the pandemic, it’s a great time to recharge and refocus your negative thoughts into something positive, which can be done through teletherapy. I’ll provide good self-help information to work through your anxiety and help relieve its symptoms by addressing the underlying factors, refocusing them to overcome your fears. To find out more, fill out the form on the Contact Page or call me at (839) 209-9335 to set up a teletherapy session.
